Produced in collaboration with mm2 Entertainment and Good Films Production, Agent From Above stands out as one of the most ambitious fantasy projects to emerge from Taiwan. With extensive visual effects rarely seen in local productions, the series aims to elevate the standard of regional content while captivating viewers across the globe.

At the center of the story is Han Chieh, portrayed by Kai Ko, a troubled spirit medium seeking redemption for his past. Bound to serve the legendary Chinese deity San Tai Zi, also known as the Third Crown Prince and played by Wang Po-chieh, Han Chieh is tasked with resolving supernatural disturbances in the human world. His journey becomes both a mission and a path toward personal transformation as he confronts the consequences of his past and discovers the deeper purpose of his abilities.

Along the way, Han Chieh is joined by a group of unlikely allies. Buffy Chen stars as Yeh Tzu, an optimistic college student who brings warmth and curiosity to the group, while Johnny Yang plays detective Chang Min, a law enforcer with the rare ability to see spirits. Together, they navigate a world where the boundaries between the living and the supernatural are constantly shifting.

Their journey is fraught with danger as they face powerful enemies, including the enigmatic and ruthless Chen Chi-sha, portrayed by Chen Yi-wen. As the story unfolds, the team uncovers a deeper and more ominous threat in the form of Chen Wu Tien-chi, played by Hsueh Shih-ling, a mysterious force that endangers the balance between the human and demon realms.

Through its compelling narrative, Agent From Above explores themes of redemption, identity, and the unseen forces that shape human lives. The series offers a fresh take on fantasy by grounding its story in cultural traditions while presenting them through a contemporary lens.

“We’re committed to investing in and creating high-quality Chinese-language shows that we know will appeal to more audiences in Taiwan and around the world,” said Jerry Zhang, Manager of Content. “We hope our projects will uplift the entertainment industry in Taiwan and introduce local stories to the world through our global platform.”
